Basic Information:
Gobos are thin plates of metal with a design cut out of it's surface.
The metal plate is inserted into a slot in the lighting fixture. These
patterns are used to project designs to enhance the theme of an event.
For example, a business grand opening may include a gobo of the company
name and / or logo. Patterns can be projected onto a wall, floor, ceiling,
building exterior, door or screen. Other events that sometimes include
gobos are Corporate meetings, Concerts, Birthday parties, Bat or Barmitzvahs,
church programs, graduations, school plays or presentations, Holiday
parties, Weddings and showers.
Room transformation is a feature that can be attained by projecting
several patterns at once. For example, if a rain forest effect is desired,
several individual fixtures could be set up in a room, each containing
foliage, tree, leaf, or other patterns, projecting on all surrounding
walls or even ceiling and floor. The end result is quite effective.
Depending on the fixture bein used, some patterns can rotate or scan
slowly. Multi colored patterns are now possible with dichroic glass
gobos.
Many lighting fixtures can project gobos. The most basic is a 'leko'
(ellipsoidal spotlight). Altman Shakespeares and ETC Source Fours are
examples. Intelligent lighting fixtures that can be prorammed also can
project patterns. Examples include High End Systems Intellabeams, Track
Spots, Technobeams, Cyberlights, and Studio Spots, also Clay-Paky Golden
Scans and Silverados, and Martin 518's, 1220's, and PALS to name a few.

Your own custom artwork may be used but this is subject to an artwork
charge, depending on clarity of design or wording. Faxes may be sent
to Port and to Apollo (219)497-9192. If faxing artwork directly to Apollo,
be sure to get a copy to Port also so we can expedite the order.

1. Your name, address and phone#
2. Gobo artwork (if custom) or standard pattern #
3. Glass or steel
4. Gobo size (or fixture that it will go into) including round or square
shape
5. Quanity
6. Date required (if this is a rush we can drop ship directly to you)
7. Payment method
Apollo's email address is sales@internetapollo.com. Apollo accepts custom
artwork on disk, IBM formatted, EPS, PCX, Tiff, AL, or PSD formats.
If artwork is not camera ready, send image/design as large as possible,
but not larger than 8.5" x 11".
