Lighting Designer Project Manager (Events) - FT
June 2022 - Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Production design, draft light plots, manage sites & logistics, create & negotiate quotes, accurately determine labor needs & efficient call schedule, conduct site visits, orchestrate pre-production communication & meetings, arrange vendor sub-rentals, ensure full safety compliance, manage clients, vendors, and crew. Must be willing/able to work long hours, nights & weekends. Seeking a team-minded, safety-focused, client-facing, forward-thinking leader adept at organization and time management, with a robust knowledge of lighting systems, rigging, AV, drape, power distribution, and generators. Ideal candidate is college-educated with 5-10 years’ relevant experience including design, certified in OSHA-30 and aerial and boom-lift, proficient with Vectorworks, Lightwright, programming lighting consoles, & familiar with best practice, permits, inspections, etc. Salary commensurate with experience, excellent benefits package. Project Assistant - Theatrical and Architectural Lighting & Rigging
Would you like to be a part of an established team that thrives on the energy of sharing ideas and knowledge to produce innovative, rock solid entertainment and architectural lighting and rigging installations?
The Project Assistant works under the direction of the Project Manager and focuses on
specification installations and unique one-of-a-kind projects that consistently exceed
expectations and solve problems for our customers.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Review of construction drawings, job specifications, and bills of material.
Putting together submittal packages for architectural and theatrical projects.
Attending client meetings, and site visits.
The ideal candidate for this position has a good understanding of rigging hardware, theatrical lighting & controls to include best practices and practical applications with two to three years of related experience.
Required Skills Include:
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- CAD experience - Vectorworks or Autocad
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 50lb
The following would be a plus to have. PORT will provide training
- OSHA 10
- Proficient with various hand and power tools
- Mobile elevated work platform certification

Warehouse Associate Truck Driver - FT
- Safe operation of up to 24’ box trucks (non-CDL), for equipment delivery throughout the Boston and New England area.
- Warehouse work prep, put away equipment for productions and rentals, load and unload trucks.
- Safe operation of a forklift, (training will be provided).
- General work hours: M-F 8:30am–5:00pm. Some nights & weekends required.
- Must be age 21+ with high school diploma, and 6-12 months related experience.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation physical, background check, & have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs.

Assistant Project Manager Lighting Production Services - FT
The Assistant Project Manager works under the direction of a senior project manager to assist with the drafting of lighting plots, lightwright schedules, shop prep lists, client meetings, site visits, and other advance work to prepare for upcoming lighting production projects.
Additional responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Leading crews on-site during set up and strike of lighting systems, serving as production electrician, programming lighting consoles, and interfacing with clients and other vendors on site. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift 50lbs.
- Seeking a team-minded, safety focused, client facing forward-thinking leader adept at organization and time management, with a good base knowledge of lighting systems. The ideal candidate has a BA in theater lighting or 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, familiarity with Vectorworks, Lightwright, and operation of lighting consoles. OSHA 10 and aerial lift training is a plus.

April 2022 - Safe operation of up to 24’ box trucks (non-CDL), for equipment delivery for production, rentals, and systems. This a part time call in as needed job. General work hours: M-F 9am–5:30pm. Nights & weekends often required. Must be age 21+ with high school diploma, GED. At least one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience required. Must pass a Department of Transportation physical, background check, & have a clean driving record. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
