Controller/Payroll Manager

Full-Time

Position Overview: The Controller oversees financial operations, including QuickBooks management, sales tax compliance, financial reporting, payroll administration, cash flow management, budgeting, and coordination with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee QuickBooks, maintain sales tax compliance, prepare financial and cash flow reports, analyze data for decision-making, develop internal controls, manage budgeting and forecasting, coordinate audits, and lead any potential accounting software migrations.
  • Accounts Management: Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Payroll Administration: Administer payroll for 50+ employees, ensure compliance with regulations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate payroll records.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP Total Source, and relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position based in the office.

Systems Operations Specialist

Full-Time

Responsibilities Include:

  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in offloading and loading trucks with project materials, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Maintain the shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipment contents and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee project and stock inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, organization, and replenishment.
  • Project Support: Help prepare and build fixtures to meet project inventory requirements, including assembling and painting pipes. Candidates will work from a detailed list to pull and pack necessary items for projects, ensuring all materials are ready and organized for successful project execution.
  • Site Deliveries: Perform site deliveries using company vans and a 24-foot box truck, ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a warehouse or operations support role preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Basic carpentry and painting skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
    • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Licenses:
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to drive a 24-foot box truck (willing to train).
  • Other:

Lighting Designer/Project Manager

Full-Time

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, and distribute incoming workload to a group of project managers/lighting designers to ensure a consistent high-quality service and a great client experience.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the team members in the group.

Lead your group to:

  • Work with clients from the initial meeting through the end of the event to produce an end result that meets or exceeds the client's expectations.
  • Prepare quotations, lighting designs, plots, renderings, and pre-visualizations.
  • Collaborate with the operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely communication of logistics such as on-site crew counts, detailed equipment lists, and travel arrangements.
  • Lead on-site crews to safely install, operate, and remove all required technical systems. 

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a lighting lead in the entertainment lighting industry.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks and Lightwright, programming and operation of moving, LED, and conventional lights on Grand MA 3, EOS, and Hog 4 level consoles or equivalent.  The ability to create renderings and pre-visualization videos is a plus. 
  • Strong leadership, and communication skills.  We are looking for a team player with a passion for the entertainment lighting industry, and excellent client-facing skills.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and long hours.
  • Ability to remain professional and efficient while working under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures related to event lighting and production services.
  • OSHA 10 certification (PORT will provide training if needed).
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform certification (PORT will provide training if needed).
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in lifts at heights of 20 feet or more.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to pass a DOT physical and background check.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Assistant Project Manager Lighting Production Services

Full-Time

The Assistant Project Manager works under the direction of a senior project manager to assist with the drafting of lighting plots, light wright schedules, shop prep lists, client meetings, site visits, and other advance work to prepare for upcoming lighting production projects.  

Additional responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

  • Leading crews on-site during set up and strike of lighting systems, serving as production electrician, programming lighting consoles, and interfacing with clients and other vendors on site. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift 50lbs. 
  • Seeking a team-minded, safety focused, client facing forward-thinking leader adept at organization and time management, with a good base knowledge of lighting systems.  The ideal candidate has a BA in theater lighting or 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, familiarity with Vectorworks, Lightwright, and operation of lighting consoles. OSHA 10 and aerial lift training is a plus.
  • Salary commensurate with experience, excellent benefits package.

Part-Time

Safe operation of up to 24’ box trucks (non-CDL), for equipment delivery for production, rentals, and systems. This a part time call in as needed job. General work hours: M-F 9am–5:30pm. Nights & weekends often required. Must be age 21+ with high school diploma, GED. At least one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience required. Must pass a Department of Transportation physical, background check, & have a clean driving record. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
